I love Midsommar as we call Midsummer in Sweden and i always go back to Sweden for this. Being a mom it has become even more important for me to celebrate Swedish holidays so that my little Princess will grow up with her Scandinavian roots firmly rooted.
The weather is typically not that great for Midsummer, usually rain and sun and a bit chilly but we still love it. There is no bad weather just bad choice of clothing!
We started our Midsummer with flower picking and making our traditional strawberry/blueberry summer cake. Fika is important over here and of course we had our fika before we went to dance around the may pole. The rest of the day is mostly filled with family time and being outdoors playing.
